Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It’s the time for spiritual reflection, prayer, good deeds and spending time with family, friends and loved ones. At Presidium, Ramadan was celebrated with great fervour. The celebrations began with an informative speech in which the meaning, purpose and importance of Ramadan was explained to the children and subsequent celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr was being told. After the wonderful introduction, the students sang a Ramadan song and also presented a dance in the traditional attire which further elucidated on how Ramadan is celebrated. The special assembly was successful in conveying the significance of Ramadan. May the spirit of Ramadan stay in our hearts and illuminate our souls from within. Ramadan Mubarak!
