Presidium celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to commemorate the birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a pioneer of truth and non-violence. The assembly highlighted the significance of the day. The students prepared speeches to pay tribute to Gandhiji and reflected on his great works. Students spread the message of endurance, peace, harmony and expressed their gratitude to Gandhiji for giving us the powerful tool of non-violence. The students reminisced Gandhiji’s favourite songs. In the end, pictures of Gandhiji and his idea of the Swadeshi movement which was symbolized by the charkha, were displayed to the students and the assembly was concluded with the National Anthem.

The best place to start going green is to practice the 3R's (Reuse, Recycle and Reduce). To create this awareness among students, a paper bag activity was organized in the school. Students prepared paper bags using newspapers and distributed them in the nearby areas. They encouraged their neighbourhood to use paper bags and to avoid using plastic bags as an initiative to save the environment.

Dance is a means to communicate emotions without words. Dance competition is a highly rewarding and worthwhile activity for students of all ages and is a great way to build up an emotional resilience in a child. It enforces kids to gain emotional strength and to accept criticism and rejection gracefully. ‘Rhythm of the Soul Academy’  organised an Inter Class Dance Competition for our little Presidians to showcase their talent. Dressed beautifully, the students performed excellent performances on ‘Western Style’ theme. Certificates and trophies were awarded to the best performers in the end.

At Presidium, culmination activities are our way to re-explore concepts and skills that the students learn in a span of a few months. It gives us an opportunity to brush up their knowledge as well as mark areas for improvement. A distinctive set of activities as a medium of practical learning were organised under culmination theme ‘Fun with Academics’ to readdress the concepts taught so far. The objective was to provide students with opportunities and challenges to become an expert in diverse subjects. Activities like ‘Hopscotch’, hit the colour, dice game, pictionary, 'Jod Tod ka Khel', etc. were organised to put on their thinking caps again and add a fun element to various academic topics. The little Presidians of the pre-primary wing actively participated in these activities and enjoyed a day full of fun and learning. This exciting culmination encouraged their comprehensive development in all domains.

A daughter is family’s treasure and asset. She is always caring, helping and courteous. She helps her parents in every possible manner. Daughter's day is a special day to appreciate the daughters of the world. On this occasion, students of grade prep organized a special assembly to highlight the bond shared between a daughter and her parents. The objective of the assembly was to admire daughters, their contributions and the splendor they bring to families. 

With immense pride, we share with you that Rishit Nagar of grade 11 has cleared the Second Level of the National Talent Search Examination conducted by NCERT and is now an NTSE Scholar. He will receive a monthly scholarship from Government till he completes his education. It is indeed a matter of prestige for the school, teachers, and parents to have been strong pillars of support to him. We are sure that Rishit shall continue to shine the brightest!

"हिन्दी भारत की राष्ट्रभाषा सन् १९१८ से है, जब महात्मा गाँधी जी ने हिन्दी सम्मेलन में हिन्दी भाषा को राष्ट्रभाषा बनाने का प्रस्ताव रखा |१४ सितम्बर १९४९ को संविधान सभा ने निर्णय लिया था कि भारत की राष्ट्रभाषा हिन्दी ही होगी | इस निर्णय को महत्व देने के लिए और हिन्दी के उपयोग को प्रचलित करने के लिए साल १९५३ के उपरांत हर साल १४ सितम्बर को ‘हिन्दी दिवस’ मनाया जाता है |

हमारे देश की राष्ट्रभाषा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए ग्रेड २ के बच्चों के लिए १२ सितम्बर २०१९ को ‘हिन्दी दिवस’ का आयोजन किया गया | इस गतिविधि के दौरान बच्चों को अपनी राष्ट्रभाषा से जुड़ने में मदद मिली|इस गतिविधि के अंतर्गत बच्चों ने विभिन्न कवियों द्वारा लिखे गए प्रसिद्ध दोहे की समझ बनाई तथा उन्हें अपनी पृष्ठ स्मृति पर लिखते हुए उसको सजाया | बच्चों ने अपने-अपने दोहे के बारे में कक्षा में चर्चा की | बच्चों ने इस गतिविधि को करते हुए ‘हिन्दी दिवस’ उत्साहपूर्वक मनाया| 

Every year on 8 September, International Literacy Day is celebrated around the world in honour of literacy and to bring awareness to the importance of closing the literacy gap. Children of grade 1 conducted a special assembly on World Literacy Day, where a beautiful message of ‘Lending a Reading hand’ was conveyed. The assembly started with a speech, where children were told the importance and meaning of literacy. They were conveyed that, literacy is not a luxury but a right and a responsibility. It was followed with a beautiful Nukkad Natak. The day was concluded by a pledge taken by all to lend a ‘Reading’ hand on this literacy day and spread education all around.

Good teachers know how to bring out the best in students; great institutions know how to acknowledge their teachers for their contributions.  Our beloved Chairperson Sudha Gupta ma’am truly believes that not all superheroes wear capes, some have teaching degrees and create magic inside the classroom. Presidium School culminated its week long Teacher’s Day celebrations with the grand Chairperson Honours for Teachers (Session 2018-19). We, at Presidium, understand that it takes a strong pair of shoulders, a determined mind, and an ambitious vision to support and scaffold our children and help them flourish into Leaders of Tomorrow. As teachers continue to tirelessly train our children, it is imperative to honour them for their devotion to the cause. The event saw teachers walk up the stage to receive their acknowledgments, while their colleagues lauded their dedication, passion and unwavering resolution to make our future brighter. Every shield, every certificate, every handshake, and every smile resonated the feeling of sincere gratitude. To make the celebration even more colourful, teachers from 7 different branches of Presidium set the stage on fire with their dance performances. One after the other, they came and left us mesmerised. 

It is true, our teachers are extraordinary all-rounders, just like our students!
