SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ORGANISED ON THE OCCASION OF WORLD ANIMAL DAY

The students of grade 7 of Presidium Indirapuram conducted a special assembly on the theme ‘World Animal Welfare Day’. The importance of saving lives of animals was very beautifully portrayed through poetry. Students also shared the names of endangered and extinct species and the need to protect them. The effect of human activities on mother Earth, trees and animals was very beautifully and meaningfully expressed through a small skit. Our respected Vice Principals Rachna Babbar ma’am and Mukta ma’am addressed the assembly and shared their views on the need to save animals.
POTTERY ACTIVITY: PRESIDIANS ENJOY THEME BASED LEARNING
With the ongoing theme ‘Soil’ in grade 1, Presidium introduced an activity of pottery to the young students. Students learnt about the earliest pottery techniques and also discussed the difficulties faced by the potter. As pottery is an art of portraying thoughts through clay, this activity also helped students to bring out their creative streak. It encouraged them to think out of the box and turn their ‘Imagination’ into ‘Reality’.
PRESIDIANS HELP WITH 'SWACHH BHARAT, SWASTHA BHARAT' MISSION
Presidium Indirapuram celebrated the essence of Gandhi Jayanti by paying a special tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The students of grades 9 to 12 took to the roads of Indirapuram and proudly undertook the task of cleaning the roads in a bid to uphold Gandhiji’s dream of a ‘ Swachh Bharat’. The student rally joined by the teachers and parents enthusiastically shouted slogans like ‘Clean India Green India’ and ‘Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat’. Their grit and determination to clean the surroundings reminded the bystanders about the Gandhian motto-‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. The celebration culminated with students taking a pledge to keep their surroundings clean.
PRESIDIANS ORGANISE RALLY FOR RIVERS ON WORLD RIVERS DAY
“Rivers are the arteries of our planet; they are lifelines in the truest sense.” - Mark Angelo
World Rivers Day is a celebration of the world’s waterways. It highlights the importance of rivers and strives to increase public awareness about the threats the water resources around the world face today. To carry forward the initiative students of grade 2 and 3 of Presidium Indirapuram organised a campaign with the help of their teachers to spread awareness about the importance of water and how one can conserve water for future generations. They also talked about the need for the cleaning of rivers around them. A ‘Rally for Rivers’ was also also organised in the school premises where the students voiced slogans like ‘Water= Life, Conserve= Future’, ‘Every drop of Ocean counts’ and ‘Nadi Bachao, Pani Badao’. Their efforts were acknowledged and appreciated by everyone in the school. The day ended with a pledge to save rivers and to save water.
YOUNG PRESIDIANS SALUTE 'BAPU' ON THE OCCASION OF GANDHI JAYANTI

In remembrance of our greatest leader Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a special assembly was presented by our young Presidians to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The assembly began with Bapu’s favourite devotional song ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. A play was presented which beautifully took everyone through the life journey of Bapu. It was followed by a dance performance where the dancers showcased their love and respect for Bapu with passion and elegant dance moves. Towards the end of the assembly, students prayed to God and asked for the strength to walk in the path that Bapu taught us and fight the social evils happening all around.
PRESIDIANS PERFORM ENTHUSIASTICALLY AT HAPPY FEET COMPETITION
Dance is the conversation of the body with the soul. It is rightly considered as one of the most captivating art forms and beautifully showcases self-expression. In its true sense, dance is not just a good form of exercise, but is also a great source for boosting creativity, imagination, confidence and focus of young hearts. With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students and incorporating all the key areas, an Inter Class Dance Competition was organised for the students of Pre primary. The theme of the competition was “Western". The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and enthralled everyone. It was a day filled with euphoria.
SKATERS PARTICIPATE IN 2ND INTER-PRESIDIUM SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP
The young skating champions of Presidium Indirapuram proved their mettle at the 2nd Inter Presidium Skating Championship held at Dwarka 22 branch. The wonderful performances of the participants were a testimony to the fact that they have received spectacular training in this field of sport. There were different categories for U-8 and U-11 boys and girls and our young skaters secured two Second Positions and one of our Presidians came third. Congratulations to the winners!
PRESIDIANS EXCEL AT NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP
One more feather of glory added by the students of Presidium in the National Taekwondo Championship 2018 held at Ghaziabad Public School. It was a delight to see young Presidians glide their way to achieve goals. With a total of 500 participants from 6 states, Presidians brought laurels to the school by winning a Gold medal, 4 Silver medals and 3 Bronze medals in various categories of the competition like under-8 boys & girls and under-10 boys & girls.

SKATERS SHINE AT THE 3RD INTER SCHOOL SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
Great skaters are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion. This passion of our Presidians brought yet victory to the school. We are delighted to share that Presidium Indirapuram has many bagged laurels at 3rd Inter School Skating Championship 2018 at DPSGI DASNA. 14 schools participated in the Championship and 26 students participated from Presidium out of which 8 of them won medals in diverse age categories. Kashvi Arora from grade 2 won a gold, while Aryansh Sharma from grade 1 bagged a bronze medal in 4-6 years girls & boys category respectively. In the 6-8 years girls & boys category, our proud winners were Mahie from grade 3(Gold Medal), Shrey Malik(Silver Medal) & Pranay Rajput from grade 2(Bronze Medal). Shaeon Malhotra from grade 4 bagged a silver medal & Khevna Kushwaha from grade 3 won a bronze medal in 8-10 years girls category. Lastly, Arnav Rajput from grade 5 won a silver medal in 10-12 year boys category. We are also proud to share that we bagged the overall second position.

With this beautiful thought in mind, Presidium Indirapuram celebrated Teachers’ Day with full enthusiasm by organising a special assembly by the students of grades Nursery to 3. Celebrations kicked off with the recitation of beautiful shlokas followed by a beautiful speech and a wonderful dance performance by the students. The highlight of the assembly was a speech on the importance of celebrating this joyful day and enlightened all about the qualities of a teacher. The assembly concluded with a beautiful thought ‘A teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill love for learning’.
