Celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom, Basant Panchami is an occasion, which marks the onset of the spring season. To rejoice this auspicious occasion with great fervour and enthusiasm, a special assembly was conducted for our grade prep students at Presidium, Indirapuram. The celebrations commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and a prosperous life by our little Presidians, who came adorably dressed in yellow clothes and offered yellow coloured flowers to the Goddess. This was followed by a splendid dance performance, which added myriad colours to the various aspects of the festivals. A presentation was given to children that their books are a form of blessings of ‘Maa Saraswati’, repositories of wisdom and knowledge. Beautiful pieces of art related to Basant Panchami were decorated on the boards, whereas a floral rangoli with yellow and orange coloured flowers signified the brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life. The assembly concluded with an inspirational song which was sung by the staff and students!
