“The earth does not belong to us, we belong to earth.” – Chief Seattle
Considering that Earth Day is all about appreciating the uniqueness of our planet with its incredible biodiversity, our grade 3 students recently celebrated 'earth week' at Presidium, Indirapuram. The idea behind this celebration was to make the young learners aware of how important it is not to harm earth in any way and instead, conserve its environment as it is the only planet in the universe where we have air to breathe and water to drink. The students started by making badges, showing a picture of earth, which were worn by both them and their teachers. They proactively participated in some activities, related to earth and its conservation, and found them to be very informative. Stressing on the question 'how can I help the earth?', the leaders of tomorrow planted a sapling in the garden of school!
