Pre-writing is learning the skills necessary to begin writing. Here our little Presidians learn the art of Pre-writing which enhances their understanding and learning capabilities. With the rabbit to carrot; cloud to aeroplane; and butterfly to flowers tracing; the little kids develop the skill of using a pencil and thus learn how to write. Pre-writing is an important step because it teaches children the correct way to hold a pencil, how to use a good, firm grip, and emphasizes the use of fine motor skills. Through the English Enrichment Activity, the children developed hand/eye coordination, learned that words go left to right, and that the lines of writing go top to bottom on a page. At three years of age, children may begin to trace more difficult shapes. If they master this skill, they will then be ready to begin working on letters and numbers.
