"Bhangre paaea, Gidhe paaea Aao sare milke Baisakhi da tyohaar manaaea Tuhanu sareyan nu Baisakhi de tyohaar de lakh-lakh wadai hove ji.”
Baisakhi is a spring festival for Sikhs and Hindus. It marks the Sikh new year and commemorates the formation of the Khalsa Panth of warriors. Baisakhi is also an ancient festival of Hindus, marking the Solar New Year and also celebrating the spring harvest. Students of Grade Nur to 3 dressed up in ethnic attire to celebrate this auspicious festival with their teachers and friends. They enjoyed dancing on Bhangra beats and were shown a small animated video related to the festival. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise children of our rich culture and heritage. These engaging and fun-filled activities were planned in such a manner that they enjoyed themselves a lot.
