Presidium Indirapuram celebrated the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami on February 01, 2017. A Saraswati Vandana was performed by the students as it’s believed that Goddess Saraswati was born on this day. This was followed by lamp lighting ceremony by the Ms. Smriti Nanda, Zonal Head, the Vice Principal (Academics) Ms. Manvinder and Vice Principal Ms. Rachna Babbar, to evoke the blessings of the goddess on this felicitous day. Basant Panchami marks the arrival of spring. The color yellow holds great significance as it is lumped together with the color of mustard flowers that bloom during this season. Goddess Saraswati, the deity, and divinity of knowledge, music, arts and science, is worshiped so that she may bestow her blessings, wealth of knowledge and wisdom to her devotees. A cultural program was organized by our talented Presidians. A soulful song by the middle school choir and a classical dance by our graceful and talented primary school students enriched the event. The students’ performances, dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, left our audience spellbound. The students were thrilled to see the kites in the air, a symbol of enjoyment and freedom.
