YOGA MAESTROS BRING BACK GLORY FROM 36TH YOGA SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP
Another feather of glory was added to the cap of the students of Presidium Indirapuram. The 36th UP State Yoga Sports Championship was recently held in Lucknow wherein 1050 students participated, 7 of which were Presidians. Dishanya Gupta of grade 6, Harshika & Aarna Bansal of grade 5, Pratiksh & Kanishka Pawar of grade 7, Bhavi Jain of grade 9 and Akshita Goswami of grade 11 won gold, silver & bronze medals in Artistic Yoga Pair, Yoga Asana Artistic Yoga Solo and Rhythmic Yoga Pair. Five of them were also selected for the 43rd National Yoga Sports Championship to be held in Patiala, Punjab. Kudos to all the winners!
PRESIDIANS MARK THE HISTORIC DAY OF INDEPENDENCE WITH SUDHA GUPTA
Presidium Indirapuram celebrated the nation’s 72nd Independence Day and remembered with gratitude the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters. The occasion was graced by the honourable Chairperson Ms.Sudha Gupta and other dignitaries. The celebration started in the school premises with unfurling of the national flag. As a mark of respect a glorious March Past was carried out by the Student Council Members. This was followed by the Chairperson’s addressal which further ignited patriotism and reverence for those who laid down their lives for the nation. On the proud occasion, few students from the school presented a patriotic song followed by a magical classical dance prepared specially in honour of the nation. The celebration concluded with the national song, ‘Vande Mataram’, evoking the feeling of patriotism among all present.

We at Presidium Indirapuram salute to our motherland – INDIA! The children of grade pre-primary at Presidium also displayed their love and spirit for their country with a special assembly on Independence Day. Dressed as freedom fighters, the tiny tots showcased their patriotism as they sang with pride in their cute voices. They also confidently recited the famous dialogues for which these brave freedom fighters are remembered and celebrated. In small innocent way, they truly expressed their gratefulness and respect for the heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, for our country.
PRESIDIANS DELIBERATE POWERFULLY ON YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AT PMUN
100 Delegates from Presidium Indirapuram have been very fortunate to experience the working of the United Nations by getting a chance to participate in Presidium Model United Nations Conference 2018 held at Presidium Gurgaon from 10th to 12th August 2018. The central theme was 'Presidium for Youth Empowerment' and 12 Committees & around 600 students from various well reputed schools participated in this conference. We at Presidium believe in the power of the youth to bring about necessary changes in the way society functions and to solve its complex issues at the grassroots level. As we all know that learning comes from experience, this platform gave our students an opportunity to share views on the current critical issues and prevent the future crises by creating resolutions. After attending the PMUN Conference, the young minds of Presidium have become active and more concerned global citizens. It made our students more aware towards multi dimensional world issues. It was truly an unforgettable MUN experience!
ASPIRING MODEL ARYASH SHARMA DOES US PROUD WITH HIS ACHIEVEMENTS
The 6 years old Aryash Sharma, a grade 1 student of Presidium, Indirapurum is a versatile kid who has been into modeling and acting since 2016. In his journey of two plus years, Aryash has done multiple print shoots, YouTube videos and TV commercials. Some of his major achievements have been, print shoots for FBB (Fashion at Big Bazar), Jabong, FabIndia, Kidopedia, American Express, and Photos Bazaar. He has also played guest appearance in one of the Diwali videos by ScoopWoop (An internet media and news company). We are immensely proud of Aryansh for managing his studies and modeling assignments impeccably. It is wonderful to witness our Presidians following their dreams from such a tender age and standing true to our motto, ‘Be what you want to be’.
ASPIRING CHESS PLAYERS COMPETE AT INTER SCHOOL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
‘Chess is everything; art, science and sports.’ An Inter Presidium Chess Championship 2018-19 was recently organised at Presidium, Indirapuram. The tournament is an annual feature and an event that aspiring young chess players look forward to as it gives them a chance to test their skills with some of the most competent players of their age group.
The tournament was governed by the rules of the All India Chess Federation. 274 students, across all the 12 branches of Presidium participated, showed great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed & focused while playing the matches. The matches clearly brought forth the eagerness with which our students are building their skills.
ENVIRONMENTS PLEDGE TO SAVE ENVIRONMENT IN VAN MAHOSTAV ASSEMBLY

Fostering the love for nature among the students, Presidium recently organised a special assembly - ‘Van Mahostav’ for the young nature lovers of grade 6. The Presidians shared words of wisdom to save
trees, our earth and respect nature. In tune with the assembly theme, they also presented a melodious song, accompanied by their classmates on guitar and cajon. After which, a mesmerizing bharatanatyam performance depicting love for trees and nature left the audience spellbound. The assembly culminated with a pledge to plant more trees for a sustainable future.
SEMINAR ON AWARENESS & PREVENTION OF DRUG ABUSE AWAKENS STUDENTS
SAY NO TO DRUGS!
A seminar was recently organised in Presidium Indirapuram by Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi Branch in association with the National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Narcotics Control Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs. The programme addressed a growing need to educate school children about drugs based on the idea that ‘Prevention is Better than Cure’. They have conducted the programme in over 80 schools in Delhi covering 22000 children and 800 teachers. The programme has been widely appreciated. The seminar included the presentation of a short film followed by an interactive questions/answers session. It aimed at creating awareness about substance abuse and drugs. The topic was discussed in depth and all the possible ways were used to empower and educate students about drugs.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE 2018:HONOURING THE ACADEMIC RIGOR OF STUDENTS
Presidians always stand out from the rest, be it academics, cultural activities or sports. Over the years
Presidium has produced a number of excellent students in academics who, in the future take the
reputation of the school to new heights. And what better way to appreciate and congratulate them than the Academic Excellence Awards 2018. This ceremony honored their commitment towards excellence and intelligent planning which encouraged them to reach their academic goals. The results for the year 2017-18 have been brilliant with our grade 12 students leading from the front. All our students passed with flying colours and twelve of them have scored more than 90%. 31 students of grade 10 raised the bar really high when they scored an aggregate of 90% and above. Our honourable Chairperson Mrs.Sudha Gupta felicitated the achievers with trophies and certificates and also encouraged them to keep up the good work. The felicitations were followed by a mind boggling fusion performance by the ‘Rhythm of the soul Academy.’ Overall, it was an awe-inspiring and encouraging event which motivated the learners to leave their mark in history, build a legacy that nobody could change, and perform even better the next time.
COLOURING CONTEST:LITTLE PRESIDIANS DISCOVER THEIR ARTISTIC SIDE

An interclass colouring competition was recently organised for the students of grade Prep. This objective of this activity was to explore and enhance the creativity of the Presidians and offer them a platform to showcase their skills in colouring. It also inspired them to think and work creatively to achieve artistic excellence. By colouring enthusiastically, the students developed motor skills along with hand and eye coordination. The artistically coloured sheets were a treat to the eyes and each one of them was appreciated for their amazing art works.
