ANNUAL ADDRESS BY HIS HOLINESS THE DALAI LAMA
09-02-2017
In its inaugural edition, the Annual ‘Itihaas’ Address was delivered by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, on 6th of February, 2017, at the Convent of Jesus & Mary, New Delhi. The program provided an opportunity for school students to meet, listen and interact with the His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of compassion and ethics as a source of happiness. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes. Cultivating a close, warm-hearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. We can strive gradually to become more compassionate, that is we can develop both genuine sympathies for others' suffering and the will to help remove their pain. As a result, our own serenity and inner strength will increase. At the end, he answered questions asked by the students. Here again, through his answers, he emphasized the importance of creating peace through individual efforts.
The address by His Holiness the Dalai Lama was indeed a great learning experience.

Our astonishing wordsmith, Anusha Goswami; a student of Grade 11, from Presidium, Indirapuram, mesmerized avid readers with her exceptional writing and story weaving skills. ‘Silent Souls-the unspoken perspective’ is her exemplary fiction mystery novel that has seen stupendous response at the World Book Fair 2017, held at Pragati Maidan.
It was a proud privilege for Anusha that her book was launched by Mrs. Sudha Gupta, the Hon’ble Chairperson of Presidium. Published and distributed by Notion Press, Silent Souls is available for worldwide distribution on all major online portals.
Anusha started poetry at an early age and soon forayed into short stories delving into a more diversified creative writing. The book is about a paradoxical relationship between mankind and birds. We are proud of you Anusha!

Goddess Saraswati, the deity, and divinity of knowledge, music, arts and science, is worshiped so that she may bestow her blessings, wealth of knowledge and wisdom to her devotees.
