PRESIDIUM ORGANIZES MATHS WEEK TO HONE SKILLS OF PRESIDIANS

Mathematics is the science of numbers, their operations and concepts. For an enjoyable experience of this subject, we must necessarily be able to relate it to the environment and focus on the development of thinking and reasoning skills. With this thought, Presidium celebrated Maths Week. The entire week was celebrated with fun-filled and interactive activities to achieve a wide range of objectives related to knowledge skills, application, appreciation, interest and values. Different concepts were revised through various games like Magic with Number Names, Floating blocks, Cap-o-mania activity for more and less, making pizza with Rangometry and Fun with pegs( bigger/smaller). The students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm and had a great time during this week.

CITATION CEREMONY: WISHING STUDENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. As our students prepare to bid adieu to their school life, they brace themselves for an ocean of opportunities and step into their destiny. It was a day to remember as the Presidians of grade 12 were showered with blessings and well wishes during the Citation Ceremony. As each student came up on the stage and placed lit up diyas by the school logo, they realised that somewhere between complaining about lost pencils and making excuses for incomplete work, they all grew up. As they tossed their caps in the air, every parent and teacher felt proud of how far they had come and had faith in how much further they could go.

STUDENTS EXHIBIT THEIR EXCEPTIONAL TALENTS AT ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

Presidium hosted its most-awaited, thrilling and action-packed Annual Sports Day. It was a day of unfathomable excitement, exhilarating winning spirit, and enthralling teamwork. Our honorable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta ma’am declared the meet open with the symbolic Torch Relay, wherein 12 of our National Level players ran with the Olympic flame. The event saw our young cadets marching in synchrony, dancers paying tribute to their country and our young athletes running for glory during the track events. With Presidians showcasing their talent in the Mass Drill, flexibility through Yoga, and daredevilry during the awe-inspiring pyramid formations, the audience was left cheering, applauding and asking for more. It was a day when every young athlete of our institution proved that they truly are ‘The Invincibles’.

STUDENTS DEVELOP A SENSE OF GRATITUDE TO COMMUNITY HELPERS

Every human contributes to the society. From morning to night, we come across so many people who help us in some way or the other, some directly and some indirectly, they are our Community Helpers. So, to strengthen and develop a sense of deep understanding about community helpers, the students of grade nursery conducted a fun filled activity. Students came dressed up in costumes of community helper of their choice- doctor, teacher, gardener, housemaid,rickshaw puller and many more. The students enacted and role-played different types of work done by our community helpers using the tools and props - stethoscope, marker , black board, weighing scale, iron, whistle , stick , etc. This activity proved to be quite encouraging and delightful for the students.

LITTLE CHAMPIONS WIN A GOLD MEDAL IN ITF TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP

Taekwondo is a combative sport and was developed by Korean martial artists with experience in martial arts such as karate, Chinese martial arts. The main international organisational bodies for Taekwondo today are the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), founded by Choi Hong Hi in 1966. Students of grade prep participated in the 15th Delhi State Sub-Junior ITF Taekwondo Championship,2019. They showed their talent through different kicks and punches and were awarded with a Gold medal.

TECHNOLOGY: A BOON OR A BANE

Presidium organized a special assembly to recognize the tremendous breakthrough achievements in the field of technology by the country and to have a quest for scientific inquiry and technological excellence. The students presented dynamic speeches and a role play to depict whether technology is a bane or a boon. They were explained about the advancement in technology and its usefulness in our daily lives with examples through presentations. A number of varied activities addressed and explained the importance of the day and exhorted the students to harness technology to find solutions and to be prudent, being aware of its negative and positive repercussions.

Sports Day is a platform to showcase the talent and efforts put in by the students to make it a successful event. Sports at the school level is about having fun, being physically active, learning the basics of sports and building coordination and motor-skills and so to give the students an opportunity to display their self-confidence, patience, zeal, and sportsmanship. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races.

एक रोचक एवं अदभुत गतिविधि 'तुकबन्दी-खेल' प्रीसिडियम के कक्षा एक के सभी विद्यार्थियों के लिए आयोजित की गई। सभी विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साह एवं प्रसन्नचित्त भावना से खेल में बढ़ चढ़ कर भाग लिया। इस गतिविधि के दौरान विभिन्न चित्रों, शब्दों एवं ध्वनि- संबंध मेल के आधार पर विद्यार्थियों द्वारा तुक मिलाकर दिए गए भिन्न-भिन्न उचित शब्दों ने उनके आत्मविश्वास, रचनात्मकता, भाषा-ज्ञान एवं बुद्धि-कौशल के विकास का परिचय दिया।

The students brought great laurels to the school by bagging 10 medals in the tournament. The chemistry of the coach and students was well reflected in their achievements.
