PRESIDIANS PAY TRIBUTE TO THEIR LOVING GRANDPARENTS!

Grandparents are the roots of the family. The bond between grandparents and grandchildren cannot be described in words. Grandparents not only give birth to good habits and moral values in children, but they act as a necessary vitamin in their growth. So our little Presidians will thank their grandparents for the stories and memories created with them. Students of Nur, Prep, and Grade 1 virtually celebrated the Grandparents' day with full zeal. They dressed up as their Grandmother/Grandfather on this occasion and also extended their love by making a beautiful card wherein they tried to make their grandparents' faces using different materials like cotton, googly eye, and other decorative material. It was indeed a memorable day for the grandparents and the little Presidians!

PRESIDIANS MARK FRENCH NATIONAL DAY WITH ENTHUSIASM!

Presidians across the wing celebrated French National Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students made french flags (Drapeau français) on the spot and came up with interesting facts about France. Adding to this, they melodiously sang along with their teachers some french rhymes and songs. Lastly, to give an accurate glimpse of the event, students were also shown the video of fireworks that took place in France to celebrate the French National festival.

PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT THE EMPOWERING ROLE OF LITERACY

The Middle Wing (Grade 7 and 8) of Presidium had organized an activity to celebrate Literacy Day. The students elaborated about the key aspects of this day; they focused on its meaning, value, importance, and how the graph of the world changed since 1966 regarding literacy. The students also emphasized the different means one can adopt to make the world and its citizens literate. In addition to it, they also described the facts about the level of development of literacy in different countries and other key aspects extended to it like child labour and its impact on literacy. The students enjoyed the activity and portrayed their work through posters, PPTs, and charts. This activity developed a sense of value in the minds of the young Presidians and how literacy can add to the economic growth of the country and value to everyone’s life.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE TEACHER’S DAY WITH ARDOUR!

The student council organized a virtual teacher's day event on Saturday, 5th September.  The cultural secretaries then gave a wonderful music performance. Student anchors gave away titles to every teacher, along with ecards. The batch of 2020, the senior grade students, had also prepared a heartfelt tribute video for their teachers as a goodbye note. The Head Boy and the Head Girl then extended a vote of thanks to giving the celebrations a nice ending. The students intended to make teachers day as special online as it would have been live, and they surely succeeded.

हमारी मातृ-भाषा, राजभाषा, जन-जन की प्यारी भाषा हिंदी को जब विद्यार्थी इतने प्रेम और उत्साह से पढ़ते हैं तो मन प्रफुल्लित हो उठता है, झूम उठता है | खासतौर पर जब हिंदी को कला से जोड़कर पढ़ा जाता है तो इसका आनंद ही कुछ और हो जाता है | हमारे विद्यालय के कक्षा ८ के छात्र- छात्राओं ने भी कुछ ऐसी ही गतिविधियाँ कीं | उन्होंने अपनी पाठ्यक्रम की पुस्तक में दिए गए पाठ ‘कामचोर’ को एक नाटक के रूप में प्रस्तुत कर सबका मन मोह लिया | इस गतिविधि से बालकों को पाठ को अच्छी तरह समझने की
समझ तो बनी ही, साथ ही साथ उनका मनोरंजन भी हुआ |

PRESIDIANS HONOUR THE SPORTS LEGEND ON NATIONAL SPORTS DAY!

Presidians of Grade 4 and 5 celebrated National Sports Day, propagating various sports, especially our National Sport, Hockey. This day is also celebrated to give tribute to legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. This year students celebrated by dressing up as an athlete or in their favourite sports gear. They were mesmerized to know about famous sports personalities in India like Dhyan Chand, Sachin Tendulkar, Milkha Singh, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom, etc. Students took up various fitness challenges at home like the skip for a minute, balance on 1 foot, hoop for a minute, etc. It was so much fun to do some fitness exercises at home. Even the staff was seen enjoying the fitness challenge.

DANCE COMPETITION: PRESIDIANS ENTHRALL WITH THEIR ENERGETIC MOVES

Dance is a means to communicate emotions without saying anything. Dance is not only body movement, but it involves the movement of soul and emotions. It enforces kids to gain emotional strength. To enhance these skills, Dance Competition was organized by Presidium. The competition began with great zeal and excitement. Presidians of grade Nursery showcased their talent on 'Western Dance Style.' Theme 'Patriotism' was shown in grade 1. Students displayed their love for the country through patriotic dances. The participants dressed up in tricolor costumes and performed with apt facial expressions. The energetic dance performance by the students kept the flame of patriotism alive. As the Dance Competition was conducted virtually, parents were also enjoying it.

Talent Hunt serves as a wonderful platform to encourage the students to explore and express their talent. To showcase their talent, an online Talent Hunt Competition was organized by Presidium School for class VI. The activity's objective was to discover the hidden talents in the students and inculcate the values of discipline among them. The students participated enthusiastically in the event. Students showcased their skill in dance, music, mono acting, drawing, and many more. The young talent with their creative minds and innate caliber were at their best. They put up a scintillating display of their talent. All the events kept the audience spellbound and entertained throughout.

GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATIONS FILL PRESIDIANS WITH JOY!

Ganesh Chaturthi is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to honour the elephant-headed God Ganesha's birthday. Modak, the rice flour dumplings are prepared and offered as prasad, during the Ganesh Utsav, and there is no missing these. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, students of grade 3 Presidium school celebrated this festival with full devotion by making Ganesh's favorite 'Modak' using their favourite Oreo biscuits. It was a treat to our eyes to see students making Modaks with full enthusiasm and zeal.

There are many kinds of dances, and every human society has its dances. Grade Prep Presidians participated in the dance competition with full zeal and enthusiasm. The theme for the competition was "folk." A folk dance reflects the life of the people of a certain country or region. Our tiny tots presented their talent gracefully on the stage.
