To unleash the power of performance and untapped reservoir of talent in the students of grade 4, Presidium Indirapuram organised a Talent Hunt. The showcase consisted of dancing, singing, mono acting, drawing, story telling. students were very enthusiastic to display their skills and talent. It was a wonderful liberating experience for all the students. It gave them the opportunity to express joy and camaraderie while performing on the stage and also watching their friends’ performances.

YOUNG FASHION DESIGNERS CREATE BEAUTIFUL DRESSES WITH NEWSPAPER

With an aim to experience the joy of creativity, a Newspaper Dress Designing activity was recently organised at Presidium Indirapuram. Students designed beautiful dresses from newspapers which were displayed with a ramp walk to include the joy of presenting. It was a wonderful experience to see the budding fashion designers display their artistic expression.

SPELLATHON: YOUNG GRAMMATICIANS DISPLAY THEIR POWER OF VOCABULARY

Spellathon provides an opportunity to the students to enhance their vocabulary. It is an integration of imagination, education, technology, inclusiveness. In the time and age of auto-correct, predictive text and spell check, the competition came as a whiff of fresh breeze for the students of grade 3. The competition had two rounds - first, wherein the children were asked to write 20 words, and the final round, which consisted of questions like fill in the missing letters, make a word from jumbled letters, big word-small word and who am I. The competition made students aware of spellings and the usage of many unfamiliar words. It was a wonderful learning experience not only for the participants but also for their peers and served to enrich the vocabulary bank of the students .

A WONDERFUL CONVERSATION WITH A BLOCK PRINTING EXPERT

Students of grade 3 got the opportunity to visit and interview a block printing expert. Students were shown a video on the process of block printing. The expert talked about the processes and technique of this printing style and also briefed students about the history related to the art. Block printing is a 2000 year old technique used to transfer words or images to paper or fabric. The technique originated in China and is a very popular printing style in Asia. Students asked different questions related to the blocks and dyes used in block printing process. It was a great learning experience for the students as they had a fruitful interaction with the expert.
NATIONAL FLAG DAY: SALUTING THE SYMBOL OF OUR FREEDOM & PRIDE

"FLAG DAY OF INDIA’ is a day dedicated to India towards collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. To understand the importance of this day, students of grade 3 presented a special assembly. They were all dressed in tricolor and spoke about the national flag meaning of each colour and its history. Students also told about the protocols for displaying the Indian National Flag. students were spellbound with the amazing display of information and knowledge. The assembly filled everyone’s hearts with pride and respect for the country.

Some of the best days of one’s school life are the educational cum excursion trips with friends and teachers. With an aim to introduce various cultural and historical facts to our young Presidians, Presidium Indirapuram recently organised a Trip to Amritsar. Presidians witnessed the history of freedom struggle at Jallianwala Bagh and also observed peace and serenity at the Golden Temple. The trip was a memorable one for the students as they spend time with their friends and teachers.

With an aim to create awareness with respect to the widespread violence against women all around the world, students of grade 5 presented a special assembly on the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women. Students aimed to raise about various forms of violence that women undergo. Young Presidians put forward a beautiful message to safeguard God’s beautiful creation. The assembly sent across a message that it is our duty to respect women and protect them from domestic violence, harassment and female foeticide.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE GURPURAB WITH GREAT DEVOTION!

Keeping with the secular ethos of the school, Presidium Indirapuram celebrated Gurpurab, one of the several auspicious religious festivals in Sikhism, to mark the Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev. Students of grade Primary prepared a medley of activities on this occasion to commemorate and remember the birth and philosophy of Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru and founder of Sikhism. The assembly commenced with the recitation of the first pauri of ‘Jap ji Sahib’ followed by ‘Aarti’ along with the ‘Shabad’. Students chanted the Mool Mantra ‘Ek Om Kar’ from Guru Granth Sahib with a student explaining the meaning of the mantra. They presented with élan, the religious ceremony observed in the Gurudwara on this day and also sang the Shabad Gurubani.
