‘The Festival of Lights' that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every soul came was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Presidium Indirapuram. The school premises was decorated with beautiful Diyas and decorations adorning the corridors and the school corridors in bright colours. Students talked about the significance of the festival - how Good always conquers the Evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. PRESIDIANS SPREAD AWARENESS WITH 'SAY NO TO CRACKERS' RALLY

A special ‘Say No to Crackers’ Campaign was organised by Presidium Indirapuram with the aim of creating awareness among the masses about the tremendous air pollution caused due to bursting of crackers. With the aim of celebrating ‘Green Diwali’ students pledged to say ‘No’ to crackers and ‘Yes’ to pollution free environment with a special rally flagged off by the students of grade 1. The rally saw lots of enthusiasm among the students as they roared slogans, showed placards and encouraged everyone to gift our Mother Earth a tree this Diwali instead of harmful smoke of crackers. Presidium has always been making endeavours to spread awareness regarding the environmental issues inspiring students to make our Earth - a better place to live.

YOUNG SCIENTISTS LEARN THE TECHNIQUE OF TITRATION

Titration is a laboratory technique used in chemical analysis. Students put an solution of an unknown quantity of a known substance in a conical flask, and a solution of known strength was then added. The addition process was continued until an end point of the titration was reached. The students learned about the equivalence point of the titration when a visible change like colour change was observed. The activity was a great learning experience for the the young scientists of Presidium.

PRESIDIANS ENJOY THE ADVENTUROUS & EDUCATIVE TRIP TO JIM CORBETT

Presidium believes in providing experiential learning to its students. Keeping this in mind, an educational and adventurous trip to Jim Corbett was organised for the students of grade 6. The trip aimed at improving team building skills and coordination. Since the camp was in the heart of the jungle, it also involved learning about nature and its beauty. The journey to the campsite was extremely thrilling as we drove through the forest. At the camp, students were divided into four groups and they took part in various activities including trekking, body surfing, raft building and hangman conducted by the amazing team of Rocksport. The evening hours were spent around a bonfire, writing journals, singing songs and discussing the experiences of the day. The students returned home with a new and great learning experiences.

हिंदी पखवाड़ा प्रतियोडिता में छात्रों का उत्साहपूर्वक प्रदर्शन

इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि आजकल हिंदी अपनी सीमाओं से बाहर आ चुकी है। वह नई प्रौद्योगिकी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंधों की भाषा बन रही है। इसी दिशा में अग्रसर होते हुए प्रिसीडियम इंदिरापुरम में कक्षा ७ तथा ८ के विद्यार्थियों के लिए हिन्दी पखवाड़े का आयोजन किया गया। जिसके अंतर्गत दो गतिविधियों को शामिल की गयीं - अभिव्यक्ति एवं वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता ।अभिव्यक्ति के द्वारा व्यक्ति अपने मनोभावों और भावनाओं का मंचन करा । बच्चों ने विभिन्न विषयों पर अपनी भाषा-सौंदर्य व कलात्मकता का परिचय देते हुए चार्ट, पोस्टर, कलेंडर, कटआउट, हैंगिंग, झालर, शो-पीस, विवरणिका (brochure), बैच (batches) आदि बनाए। हिन्दी पखवाड़ा के अंतर्गत कक्षा ७ तथा ८ के विद्यार्थियों के लिए ‘अंतर्कक्षा वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता’ का आयोजन किया गया |बच्चों ने वाद-विवाद के लिए अपने तर्क पक्ष/विपक्ष में प्रस्तुत किए | विद्यार्थियों द्वारा ‘हिन्दी पखवाड़ा’ बहुत ही उत्साह के साथ मनाया गया। बच्चों में हिन्दी के प्रति प्रेम व आदर-भाव दृष्टिगत था । रचनात्मकता, ज्ञानवर्धन व समकालीन समस्याओं के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ी ।

COMPUTER WIZARDS SHINE AT THE SEASON 8 OF COMPUDON COMPETITION

With this attitude and to achieve something big in life, 71 Students of Presidium Indirapuram participated in COMPUDON Season- VIII - Gateway to 2018 Microsoft Office Specialist India & World Championship. To qualify this exam, students were supposed to take any of the following exam tracks: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)- Word/Excel/Powerpoint(ver 2013/2016). At qualifying level, 40 Presidians were declared MOS(Microsoft Office Specialist) and out of these 40, 24 were declared India Finalist who competed for the world qualifying level. With the hard work and efforts of our students Presidium Indirapuram won one silver medal and three consolation prizes at World Qualifying level. Congratulations to our budding computer wizards!

PRESIDIUM HONORS YOUNG ACHIEVERS AT CHAIRPERSON HONORS CEREMONY

Presidium Indirapuram celebrated the achievements of its budding stars by honouring their efforts at The Chairperson Honour’s Ceremony 2018. Presidium felicitated the exceptionally talented achievers for their remarkable performance at various national and inter school level competitions. The event began with the student guard of honour escorting the honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta. The awe inspiring classical dance performance and dance drama presented by the Rhythm of the Soul Academy added to the charm of the event. Sudha Ma’am encouraged and appreciated the achievers by addressing the gathering and praising the achiever’s for making their teachers and parents proud. The students were were presented with trophies and certificates of appreciation.

PRESIDIANS ORGANISE A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY TO CELEBRATE 'VIJAYDASHMI'

Vijaydashmi is a festival that celebrates the victory Lord Rama over the evil. To instill the values of goodness and peace in our students, a special assembly was organised by the students of grade Nursery, Prep and 4. The students prepared a wonderful skit displaying the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, followed by an energetic dance performance. Students delivered speeches encouraging their peers and friends to obey their parents and respect their friends and elders. The assembly culminated with the burning of the effigy of Ravana and the students symbolically burning one bad habit in the flames.

CAREER FAIR: EXPOSING PRESIDIANS TO A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITIES

In order to help students decide their career path, Presidium Indirapuram recently organised a Career Fair for the students of grade 9 to 12 and their parents. The objective behind the Career Fair was to give students a little insight on the different opportunity and paths they can opt for once the school days are over. Booths by IIHM, ICSI, Success Mantra and Bennett University were set up to apprise the students about the higher education in India and abroad. The highlight of the fair was a workshop conducted by Mr. Jitin Chawla, an eminent career counsellor, educationist and Director of the Centre for Career Development. It helped both the parents and the students to understand the ways to choose careers, streams and institutions. Personalized counselling was also provided by the career counsellors. Overall the Career Fair was a great success as it gave students an opportunity to explore different subject areas and to be aware of the entry requirements to qualify for admissions.

'UTSAV 2018': PRESIDIANS BRING LAURELS TO THE SCHOOL

The talented students of Presidium Indirapuram never lose an opportunity to add a feather to our cap of glories. Continuing to uphold the tradition, our students won laurels at UTSAV 2018 held at St Thomas School, Indirapuram. A total of 27 schools participated in the events. Our little Presidians Aadhya Goel from grade Prep and Kimaaya from grade Nursery made us proud by securing the 2nd and 3rd positions in ‘Easel n Canvas’ and 'Object Talk' events respectively. We congratulate both the winners and their mentors.
